About the artist Sue Jurd
Living on a cattle property at Jennings, right on the NSW/Qld border on the New England Tablelands, Sue is influenced by her
surroundings, the bush, with all the colours, smells and beautiful designs. Through her works she tries to capture the feeling
of the Australian landscape and its people.
Although basically self-taught, Sue has gained much inspiration from tutors such as Ruth Francis, Roy Churcher and Helen
Sanderson. She has been painting acrylic and silk for many years, but now makes use of many mediums.
