What is the Trek4Kidz?
Trek4Kidz began in 1997 by a small band of like-minded people from Tuross Head located on the far south coast of NSW, Australia. This small band decided to organize an event that would not only help change the lives of seriously ill children, but would also provide a social event for people who share a keen interest in exploring the unique Aussie countryside, a passion for charity work and making a difference. The meeting of many characters our country boasts is an added bonus.
Trek4Kidz is an annual week-long event where a group of like minded people explore different regional areas of the Australian countryside by car. The Trek4Kidz groups have visited more than 300 towns, 35 schools and raised over $1,045,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation.
These funds have enabled the Starlight Children's Foundation to grant 160 life changing wishes. Also helping to transform the hospital experience for over 28,000 sick kidz at hospitals around Australia, including John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle, NSW.
