Angove Family Winemakers was established in 1886 and is one of Australia's largest privately owned wine companies and stands as one of the few with strong interests in distilling as well as grape growing and winemaking.
Angove Family Winemakers specialises in making wines for every day enjoyment. Wines for a special lunch with family on a Sunday afternoon or wines to be shared with your partner over a simple meal at home after work. These are special times. In our busy lives, they don't happen as much as we would like. They are times to catch our breath, share our experiences and enjoy the company of those important to us. It could be with a favourite pasta at the kitchen bench at 8pm after a stressful day at work or a BBQ and salad thrown together around a back yard cricket match on a weekend.
Angove's wines are made for these times and for these customers. Both are unpretentious. Our wines are easy drinking styles that are good value for money.
Some wines have medals and a great reputation, as do the consumers but this wasn't their intention. They are real world.
Angove Family Winemakers values are based around the core values of any family - honesty, respect, hard work and tradition. All at Angove Family Winemakers respect the Heritage, Tradition, Integrity, Passion and Vision that can only come for over 120 years and Five Generations of Family Winemaking.
Grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz, Traminer and Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Colombard, Malbec and Carignan plus many more
